BooksFree: It’s Netflix for Readers

By Kim Roach · May 21, 2007

I have just discovered a very cool service that allows you to rent unlimited books starting at just $9.99 per month. It’s like Netflix, but for books. It’s called BooksFree.

They have been featured in the Oprah magazine, Consumer Reports, Reader’s Digest, The New York Times, the Washington Post, and Smart Money.

Just like Netflix, there are no due dates or late fees and shipping is free. BooksFree is truly a book lovers dream come true with over 79,000 titles to choose from. For those who like to listen to books during their daily commute, they also have an excellent selection of over 13,000 audiobooks to choose from.

Of course, you could just go to your local library, but you probably won’t get the same kind of selection. This is especially true if you live in the middle of nowhere like me.

Not to mention, this kind of service can save you a ton of time. You no longer have to fight traffic and drive to the library or bookstore. Simply log on to your computer and click on your favorite book titles to have them delivered to your door.

And of course, you can also save a ton of money. Check out their incredible selection at
